Jack Pavlik is a sculptor utilizing technology and spring steel to create environments of organic forms, sound and moving systems, which he dubs ‘moving sculpture’. Educators' Guide

Jack was drawn toward moving sculpture after seeing a friend create music by plucking a saw. Jack embarked on a 10 year fascination with moving structures, which he uses to explore man’s relationship with the modern world. Working from his Northrup King studio, Jack finds the most reward comes from working through each layer, each programmable mechanism, and each subtle tone to reveal the motion and tension that exist in his work and in the world. Having now completed 15 sculptures, exhibiting from London to Cologne and the MIA, and after receiving several awards, Jack remains most inspired by process over product.
