Fiber artist Erica Spitzer Rasmussen creates wearable art and sculptures out of tomatoes, matchsticks, and even decongestants to tell stories about our anxieties about our bodies. In a eclectic process that includes shopping at ethnic grocery stores, to making her own paper, Rasmussen’s innovative materials inform her designs.
