MN Original is a new weekly series produced by Twin Cities Public Television. Each week, the series will showcase the depth and breadth of Minnesota’s creative community and introduce viewers to the many original artists who produce extraordinary work right here in Minnesota.

Minneapolis photographer Alec Soth is recognized worldwide for his compelling photographs that uniquely capture the spirit of his subjects. We’re with Alec while he prepares for his first exhibit at Walker Art Center.

Heather Doyle is a blacksmith, a welder, and a metal sculptor. She find inspiration for her work in a machinery shop.

John Munson and Matt Wilson have rocked the Twin Cities music scene since the 80′s, starting with their band Trip Shakespeare. It’s a magical time again for the duo, now performing as The Twilight Hours.

MacPhail Center for the Arts students Seiji and Kenji Cataldo perform an excerpt of Edward Elgar’s “Salut d’Amour,” and a visit with St. Paul-based Plein Air painter Joe Paquet.
