The job of a registrar at any museum is to preserve art objects for generations to come. They also give the public access to a work of art that otherwise might sit in storage waiting to see the light of day. Such is the job of Laura Muessig, registrar for the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota. The Weisman closed its doors this past fall in order to prepare for an expansion. The care and removal of all the objects on the walls fell under the watch of Muessig and her team. Some of those objects included a multi-dimensional work from the late and great Minnesota artist Charles Biederman.
