Artist Bio:
From rural northern landscapes to vivid color studies of the Como Fountain and St. Paul alleyways, Robert Abraham’s oil paintings highlight scenes of Minnesota life. Growing up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Abraham started his career as an artist copying images out of comic books. This lead Abraham to a career as a designer and animator. And then, ten years ago, he took his easel outside and discovered plein air painting. Now in addition to his own art, Abraham teaches classes on painting both from his home studio, and every Saturday morning at the Bruce Vento Natural Sanctuary in St Paul.

Abraham has been the recipient of numerous awards and prizes including the 2008 Grand Marais Art Colony Quick Paint Award and he was a 2006 St. Paul Art Crawl Poster Competition Spring Media Winner. Abraham recently had a show at the Bloomington Art Center.
