Six miles of photographs become an urban gallery along University Avenue in Saint Paul. Photographer Wing Young Huie celebrates this neighborhood through hundreds of images in his 2010 installation, presented by Public Art Saint Paul.

Artist Bio:
Duluth native Wing Young Huie’s photographs document the changing cultural landscape of Minnesota.  Focusing on neighborhoods in transition, he’s created major public photography exhibitions that have spanned from Lake Street in Minneapolis to St. Paul’s Frogtown neighborhood, and most recently a 6 mile stretch of University Avenue.  Photographing residents and business owners, children and adults, new immigrants and longtime residents, Huie captures and celebrates the character of a neighborhood for all of its cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic diversity.
