Duluth-born stand up comic Maria Bamford returns to her native Minnesota for live shows at the Acme Comedy Club. From her interview, to sneak peek backstage moments, this funny lady is always on. Scott McGlasson puts in a days work for MN Original audiences in his Northeast Minneapolis studio making chairs, milking stools, and drink caddies full of old world charm and modern elements. In this MN Original short, Margaret Pazalla-Granlund creates lunar landscapes out of paper, one of the most low-tech and accessible materials. The New Standards are a unique jazz trio that is making a splash around the world with their personality-laden brand of heartfelt, engaging performance and extraordinary musicality. We filmed the band performing at the Ritz Theater in Northeast Minneapolis. Each of these legendary musicians talk about their style, influences and musical background here in the Twin Cities while adding their signature soulful touch some old favorites.
