ARTIST BIO

Photographer Rhea Pappas captures the intimacy and beauty of her subjects whether it’s on land or in the water. In her underwater series, Rhea explores the feminine power of the women who agreed to be vulnerable for her lens.

Pappas is an alumni of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design at the young age of 22. After graduating in 2008, she quickly gained recognition exhibiting in New York City, France and Vermont. Her underwater series won numerous awards in 2009 at the Pris de la Paris and the International Photography Awards. She is preparing for her upcoming show at the Icebox gallery and is a member of the Northern Warehouse Art Collective.
